Why I LOVE Reiki

I first experienced Reiki when I went for a visit to Lily Dale, NY in 2005 and received a beautiful Reiki treatment. As a sensitive soul, I could instantly feel a shift occurring in my body. This was integral to my own personal healing. In 2006 I was able to learn Reiki I from a Medium that resides in Lily Dale, along with other forms of Energy Medicine. When I became a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and began working with patients going through cancer treatment even I was astounded by the positive effects my Reiki sessions had on these beautiful souls. Since then I have been certified in both Color and Crystal Reiki, and over time I have deepened my knowledge of energy healing, and bring those elements to the work I do with clients.
What to Expect During a Reiki Session with Me
The client remains fully clothed, with shoes on or off (your choice)on a massage table.
I spend a few moments centering and grounding myself and prepare myself for the session.
If you are choosing add on options such as aromatherapy, lights, crystals, or sound healing those will be set up.
I place my hands near the recipients’ body in a series of hand positions. Please note: During a treatment, the practitioner’s hands will often heat up as a result of the energy flow coursing through the palms.
If you have chosen the Chakra guided meditation, I will be gently guiding you through the process.
Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being.
Occasionally, intuitive messages may occur, and I will offer to share these messages at the end of the session.
The patient may have emotions come up during the session and I offer time after the session to process if desired.
Recommendations after Your Reiki Session
If possible take it easy after.
Avoid going on screens for at least an hour after your treatment, but if possible spend the rest of the day resting, reading, doing light stretching, or even napping.
Drinking plenty of water flushes out toxins and tired energies. This will support the healing energies to continue. Notice how much water you drink for the few days after a session. Can you increase it?
Focus on healing whole foods that nourish the body-mind-spirit.
Notice your feelings and if possible journal them, and share them with me during our next session together.
